184 million dollar lawsuit against the Patriots

First off, I want to thank those of you who have responded to my posts. It makes my day to open my email and see that you have responded so vibrantly. I really don't have the words, just Thanks. Now, a new story surrounding the patriots scandal. Carl Mayer an unsuccessful New Jersey lawyer and Jets season ticket holder, has filed a claim to the tune of $184 million. This number was calculated by taking the $61.6 million that customers paid to watch 8 games against New England and multiplying that by three. They are calling it consumer fraud. If you paid to go see a fair match and found out there was cheating involved would you feel entitled to a refund? More importantly is this money going to be dispersed amongst ticket holders, or does it go into Mr. Mayers greedy lawyer pockets? And I hope you get the pic...Thats what this has done to the supposed "greatness" of this team.

How about Brett Favre?

Wow, at 38 years old this man has proven a point to all who doubted him. He is still mobile, he can still throw zingers, and most importantly he can still win football games. Lets take a look at his stats so far this season and remember this is after only 3 games. 80 completions on 125 passes for 861 yards and 6 touchdowns. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I haven't even mentioned that he is now tied with Elway for the most touchdown passes in a carrer. 420 beautiful Brett Favre touchdowns. They're not going to stop coming either. The packers are 3-0 and they look to be in top form. Any predictions on how they wind up the season?

Owens fined $7,500

Terrell Owens was fined 7,500 dollars for using props in an end zone dance. He used the ball and the goal post to make a joke out of the Patriots scandal. I thought it was hilarious but, my opinion is biased because I am a fan of the T.O. endzone dance. Isn't this sport for the fans? I'm sure getting a touchdown in front of millions of viewers is a pure rush of adrenaline, hearing the crowd roar, the cameras in your face. These players are put on the main stage and it is hard for the to stop after hitting the end zone. This is what T.O. had to say: "It's kind of hard to understand the rules," he said. "It's like you can't do nothing no more. ... Dude, it's like they're trying to find any way to take fun out of the game. So I'm kind of limited right now as far as what I can do." Now I have a question for all you NFL fanatics like myself. Are these "larger than life" celebrations too much, are they taking away from the sanctity of the game or are they creating exciting new reasons for fans to watch these players?

Other teams doing it too?

This is a response to a comment left on Back to New England. The above shows a fully functional zoom-able camera. Pretty small huh? Todays technology makes it easy for video to be made without the consent of the subjects being taped. This could easily be placed and directed toward an opposing teams sideline. Which brings me to my point. More teams will be brought up on charges of video taping. New England just opened the door for a whole new storm of media frenzy. I have already heard rumours of the Jets being accused. But wait, the video camera was confiscated from New England while playing the jets. So I ask of you all, does cheating against a cheater make it ok?

Blades of Glory

I just got done watching Blades of Glory. I really thought it was going to be cheesy. As it turns out I really liked it. While most comedys have no story line for you to follow, this did. It did have its moments of cheesiness but I loved it. Just wanted to let you all know to check it out. Will Ferrell strikes again. Shake and Bake!
